Rónar / Bums

I found this magazine that had old photos of Icelandic bums, hobos and weirdos from around 1920. Here's some that I drew.

Hjól / Bike

I love me some bicycling. Do you love you some bicycling?

Allskyns / Misc.

Letting my mind wander in class sometime. Eagle-eyed readers may spot among other things: Somebody's wife turning out to be Fidel Castro, a rather sad Radiohead fan, me and a friend being excited about a new apartment, my friend Petra, and last but not least, the "prog dude". You will be seeing more of him later.

Gatan / Street

I love the photography of Jamel Shabazz. I think New York in the late 70s and early 80s was the best time ever for fashion. When rap style meant Cazall glasses, old school sneakers and doing crazy poses with your homeboys like there was no tomorrow. Now it's just oversized sweatsuits and baseball caps that are too big and go over your ears.

Skrifborð / Desk

So yeah, I went to designer-school. I've got a BA in graphic design.
Well this was my desk on my last day there.

I believe in organized clutter.

Flott / Nice

This video is incredible.
(Thanks, Hanna)

I once made a stopmotion thing similar to this (not as good of course) that was 30 seconds long. I thought I would go blind, arthritic and get brain cancer from the horrid fumes of my gasoline based poison-marker. This is four minutes of intensely awesome and innovative stuff. I get vertigo from thinking of the hard toil. Well it paid off for him.

This dude is now the Marion Cobretti of stopmotion drawing.
Check out his website

Gamall / Old

I love the old scooters that old people drive around on. Knowing we'll soon be old and eating mush, I designed custom scooters for me and my girlfriend. Mine's at the bottom with the machine gun and poisonous fumes.

Sleipur / Smooth

This stoner was in the Doobie Brothers. For more info about the Doobies, watch Yacht Rock.

Frægir / Celebrities

Drawing famous folks is fun. The dudes on the first pic are Icelandic celebs. Y'all overseas can probably recognize the little fatty below.

Baldvinsbræður / Baldwin Bros.

I love filling pages with these little guys (I call em the Baldwins). I don't know if they're clones, inbreeds or parasites, but they travel in groups and are very touchy-feely with one another. Just like the real Baldwins.

Tennur / Teeth

Plastið tekið af / Ripping off the plastic

Hi.

My name is Bob and I'm from Iceland. I like to scribble, jot, draw and waste ink.

I draw you when you're not looking.

I like to smell new sketchbooks, sharpen my Pluto pencils and refill my Rapidograph. I also like to refill my pencils, smell my Rapidograph and sharpen my sketchbooks.

I use all kinds of books for drawing, but I like Moleskines the best. I usually rip out the little string and cut off the elastic band, being the ruiner that I am.

I've filled up something like 50 sketchbooks in my 25 years and I thought of putting up a blog when I started scanning them. So you can expect to see doodles old and new, and little features on people far more talented than me.

Please don't bitch about bad composition, loony proportions or too few/many fingers. These are just scribbles. Just me letting my pen (and captions) do the talking.
